    Darwin & Bonita Horst started Horst Exteriors, LLC in April 1998.   They both had dreams of owning a business.  Darwin started with a small S10 pickup.  He rented a dump truck.  He would tear off and install a complete house roof by himself!  A distributor nicknamed him "the bear" out of respect for the fact that Darwin worked very hard.  The first few years Bonita would join him at times, baby in the car seat, on the ground watching while she would help Darwin with roofing or clean up.  Roofing was the main source of work but siding, windows and doors were soon added.
